Donald "Don" R. Lee
Donald "Don" Lee, age 68, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2004 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Don was born March 15, 1937 to Ed and Eva (Brunk) Lee in Oakville, California. He was a 1954 graduate of Layton High School in Los Angeles, CA. Don became a pipe-fitter, serving his apprenticeship in Los Angeles. He worked many construction and pipefitting jobs all over the United States. Don was the owner of the former High Tech Mechanical, Inc. for seven years until due to his illness he was unable to work. He was the I.O.F. Grandmaster and held memberships in many organizations, including the Sports Card Club of America, Harbor View Yacht Club, the Re-development of East Toledo Board and the Plumbers/Pipe-fitters Local #50.
Don was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Lee; grandson, Cody Roper; sister, Carol Fraiser and brother, Kenneth Lee. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Patricia (Podgorski) Lee; sons, Donald (Mary Kay) Lee and Michael Lee; daughter, Debbie Roper; "sister, aunt and daughter"; Diana Longoria; closest grandson, Michael Austin Lee; grandchildren; Brock and Ashley Rose; siblings, Freida Brewer; Charlotte Gudzel; Marilyn Medilin; Verna; Terry; John and Bobby Lee.
The family will receive guests Saturday from 4-8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Scripture Service will be said Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 509 Oswald St., Toledo. Officiating will be Fr. Frank Eckart. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Northwest Ohio Hospice.
