Donald G. Kachenmeister

Donald G. "Don" Kachenmeister, age 67, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Regency Hospital surrounded by loving family. He was born on November 26, 1954 to Donald W. and Betty (Mock) Kachenmeister in Toledo. Don graduated from Start High School in 1972. He was in the HVAC industry and owned and operated Don's Home Services for 35 years. Don was a jack of all trades and loved tinkering around. He enjoyed bird watching, feeding the squirrels and being outside. Don was a great cook, mainly a grill master; especially steaks. He loved music, had a great sense of humor and was a hard worker. Don enjoyed spending time with family. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Cox. Left to cherish his memory are his loving life partner, Connie DuBois; children, Sarah (Thomas Sr.) Kachenmeister, Heather (Jeff) Olligschlager and Eric Kachenmeister; grandchildren, Brianna, Thomas Jr., Miranda and Collin; step-children, David DuBois, Sara DuBois and James DuBois; and many extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
