Donald James Knaggs, 55, passed away in his home on October 19, 2012. He was born on March 5, 1957.
Don was a 1976 graduate of Whitmer High School. He was an avid motorcycle fan and former racer. Don is best known in the Midwest for his accomplishments refurbishing antique and vintage motorcycles. Some of the classic bikes he restored are now on display in museums in Indiana.
Don was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Donald Leroy Knaggs. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ruth Hutchison Knaggs and his cousin, Joseph (Cynthia) Hutchison. Joseph was raised alongside Don in the Knaggs household. Don also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family; each with unique fond memories of his contributions in their lives.
The family will receive guests on Friday from 10 a.m. – 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon. Burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
