Donald J. Eichenberg

Donald J. Eichenberg, age 72, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Toledo Hospital where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 13, 1943 in Toledo, OH to Walter C. and Eliza H. (Winter) Eichenberg. Don was a talented singer, he would sing any where that he could, including the church choir. He was also a self taught keyboardist. In his spare time he took great pride in caring for his yard, tending to his birds, fish and he treasured his clock collection and time spent on tracking the weather. Most important to Don was his family, he was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Loralie (Hughes) Eichenberg; three sons, Michael (Michelle), Steven (Carri) and David (Stephanie); grandchildren, Nick, Sean, Kira, Eden and Ella; three step-grandchildren, Donald, Samuel and Emmaline; sister, Gladys (Jerry) Weber and his church family from Faith Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services for Don will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church, 6245 Whiteford Center Road, Lambertville, MI 48144, with visitation in the church one hour prior to the service.
