Donald D. Harrison

Donald D. Harrison, age 79, of Temperance, Michigan passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at his home. He was born April 1, 1942 in Toledo to Howard and Lucille (Borucki) Harrison. Don was in the last class to graduate from Burnham High School in Sylvania. After graduating he joined the military serving his country proudly for 4 years in the US Air Force. Don was employed with Tenneco, the former Monroe Auto Equipment Company, as a Catalog Coordinator for more than 30 years - retiring in 2004.

He was a longtime member of Lewis Ave Baptist Church, where he enjoyed giving freely of his time and talents in any way he could - whether it was for building projects or electrical needs. Don was a proud husband, father, and grandfather, cherishing time spent with his family - especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren and his favorite canine companion, "Sheba". Don liked playing cards, working on puzzles, and maintaining his vegetable garden.

In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lucille Kunckel and grandson, Anthony Bucher. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Karen (Powers) Harrison; daughter, Paula (Mike) Peio; sons, Clifford (Kim) Harrison and Robert (Dianne) Harrison; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Donna, Margaret and Christine; brother, Wayne and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Monday, June 7, 2021 from 2-8:00 pm at Newcomer, Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Lewis Ave. Baptist Church, 6320 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI 48182 with viewing 1 hour prior. Officiating will be Pastors, Steve Hobbins and Mike Corkran. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Veterans Center, Temperance, Michigan in Don's memory.
