Donald "Butch" Groch, age 73, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 6, 2007 in the Toledo Hospital. He was born September 7, 1934 to Walter and Lottie Groch in Toledo. Formerly of Toledo, Butch grew up in the Polish Village and worked at Mercury Bowling Lanes for several years before working at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he retired from after 27 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Butch leaves behind his brother, Kenneth (Sandra) Groch; "buddy", Tom Panchak; nieces, Jackie (Paul) Gribbon; Kristine Groch and Michelle (Martin) Schroeder; great niece, Thamera Bell and nephews, Brian Groch and Tom Ingraham. Butch also leaves behind his "special grandchildren", Sydney and Sierra Ferencz; Hailey Schroeder and Arah and Mishari Al-Shabanah and all of his friends at the Drop-In Center in Monroe.
The family will receive guests Monday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Interment will be private.
The Groch family would like to thank all the staff at Toledo Hospital, especially SICU for the loving care and support they provided.
