Donald Sidney Chandler

Donald Sidney Chandler, age 90, of Sylvania, Ohio formally of Toledo passed away Monday, January 18, 2021. He was born on June 30, 1930 in Adrian, Michigan to the late George and Florence (Bailey) Chandler.

Donald went to serve in the United States Army. He was a devote Christian for over 60 years and was a member of Flanders Road Church of Christ. Donald graduated from Whitmer High School in 1950 and was known for being a Band Booster for the High School. He enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events. Donald was devoted to his family.

Left to cherish Donald's memory is his wife, Syble Chandler; daughters, Maryjo (Daniel) Nelson and Jeannie Landry; grandchildren, Christine, Matthew, Justin, Noah, and Joel; great-grandchildren, Makenna, Andrew, Jessie, and Braydon; brother, George Chandler. Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Pietras; siblings, Carroll Chandler and Karen Miners.

The family would like to thank Sunset Village for their care that they gave to Donald.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to The Leukemia Foundation or Flanders Road Church of Christ.

Family will be receiving guests from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Flanders Road Church of Christ, 5130 Flanders Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Donald will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
