Donald C. "Don" Adams, age 83, of Temperance, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He was born April 29, 1931 to Arvin and Ruth (Keck) Adams in Toledo, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. For nearly thirty years he owned and operated A & B Tool and Manufacturing Corp. Don was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. Aside from operating his successful tool and die business, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Don also loved traveling with his wife, Eveline.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 64 years, Eveline (Barnett) Adams; children, Stephen "Dusty" (Ruth) Adams, Karen Woll and Jennifer Shaw; grandchildren, Nathan Woll, Andrea Outar, Jeffrey Adams, Stephen Woll, Rachel Lobban and Elisabeth Shaw; 11 great-grandchildren and one expected great-granddaughter in March; daughter in law, Robin Adams; sisters, Millie Proshek and Ruthann (Denny) Griffith; brother, Edward (Margaret) Adams and sister in law, Wanda Lawrence. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Adams; son-in-law, Philip Woll; sisters, Norma Manteuffel and Dorothy Weber; brothers, Elmer and Ray Adams.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Rust officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
