Donald L. "D.J." Brenner, Jr. age 42, of Toledo, passed away November 19, 2019 at University of Michigan Hospital surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer . D.J. was born June 27, 1977 in Toledo to Donald and Rebecca (Hall) Brenner. He was employed with the Ryder for many years before his medical retirement. D.J. loved country music and Clutch, he was an avid U of M football fan, liked Name That Tune, poker and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Rebecca A. (Doug Merritt) Brenner, siblings, Matthew J. (Christie) Brenner and Steffany L. (Steve) Sass; grandmother, Ruth Hall; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
In accordance with D.J.'s wishes all services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in D.J.'s memory.
