Don A. Galbraith

Don Galbraith, age 74, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, December 19, 2022. He was born on May 5, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Roy and Ada Galbraith. Don graduated from Sylvania High School in 1966. He spent the past 22 years faithfully partnering with Judi Roth, his true love who complimented him in all aspects of their lives together.

Don worked as a supervisor at the Toledo Jeep plant for 30 years before retiring in 2003. Later he became co-owner, with his beloved Judi, of J&D's Side Trip in Toledo. Don loved bringing people together and made many friends along the way.

He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone. Don was known for his work ethic, candor, and love of family. He enjoyed traveling to visit his and Judi's children and grandchildren across the country. Don was a scratch golfer in his prime and consistently supported his Michigan State Spartans and Green Bay Packers.

Don is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Gary) Dunow and Beth (Frank) Novak; his granddaughters, Michaela, Peyton and Emma; his sister, Phyllis; his loving companion of 22 years, Judi Roth and her children, Cherie (Rob Tucker) Cook & Matt (Alicia) Van Camp; her grandchildren, Ashley, Joe, CJ, and Isabelle and her great-grandchildren, Gabby, Sophie, Analeigh, Savannah & Kenny.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 2-6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 4150 West Laskey Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43623, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to the MDS Foundation (Myelodysplastic Syndrome), Hospice of NW Ohio or a charity of the donor's choice.
