Domingo G. Ponce, 72, of Toledo, transitioned on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at his mother's home in Tilaco, Queretaro, Mexico. Mingo was born on Saturday August 4th, 1951 in Mexico to Eusebia Garcia Olguin and Jose Matias Ponce Chavez and had five brothers and four sisters.
As an immigrant from Mexico, he found his way to the American Dream. Mingo lived his life to the fullest and loved his family and friends.
On December 3rd, 1983 Mingo found the love of his life and married Anna Maria Lopez Ponce in Toledo where they had a happy and fulfilling life in the Old South End of Toledo. They had one son together, Matias Ponce. Prior to finding Anna, he had three children: Maria Concepcion Ponce Trejo, Irene and husband Alex Cortes and Domingo Graham.

Mingo loved his action movies and sports; his favorite football teams were Ohio State and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved boxing and soccer. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Church and a member of United Steel Workers of America. He worked at Martin Marietta in Woodville, OH and retired after 35 years. Mingo also loved his music; his favorite genres were Country, Classic Rock, Rancheros, Tejano, Huapango and one of is all time songs was "Seven Spanish Angels" by Willie Nelson and Ray Charles.

Survivors include: Wife; Anna Maria Lopez Ponce of Toledo; children: Maria Concepcion Ponce Trejo of C.C.D. Mexico, Irene and Alex Cortes of Baytown, Texas and Domingo Graham of Baytown, Texas; and Matias Ponce of Los Angeles, CA.; Nine grandchildren; mother: Eusebia Garcia of Mexico; siblings: Victorina Chavez Garcia of Mexico, Laura Ponce Garcia of Mexico, Sabina and Jose Francisco Ponce de Aguilar, Lamberto Campuzano Garcia of Homestead, Florida, Apulello Compuzano Garcia of Mexico, Pedro and wife Robin Ponce of Toledo, Ohio, Evodio and wife Lourdes Ponce of Toledo, Ohio, Virginio and wife Loren Moran de Ponce of Mexico; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Preceded in death by: two sisters; Valeria Ponce Garcia and Bernardina Ponce de Aguilar, and father: Jose Matias Ponce Chavez.

Memorial Services will be held at St. Peter and Paul Church on Saturday, October 28th at 1:00 p.m. Family will be receiving friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a reception will follow at the church. Mingo was already laid to rest back at his family hometown in Tilaco, Queretaro, Mexico.

The family wants to give special thanks to his nieces Jasmine Ponce, Nancy Ponce, Leah Ponce and nephew Diego Omar Aguilar Ponce.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be brought to the family the day of service for Mr. Ponce.
