Dolores M. LaVoy
Dolores M. LaVoy, age 73 of Toledo, passed away Sunday, April 3rd, 2005 at the Franciscan Care Center. She was born September 20, 1931 to Roy and Marie (Reiss) Calabrese in Toledo. Dolores was a Nurses Aid with the former Golden Haven Nursing Home for many years. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Clement Church. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and cherished the time spent with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton James LaVoy. She is survived by her daughter, Jane LaVoy; son, James (Jackie) LaVoy; grandchildren, Erin McGovern; Tony; Lyndsey and James LaVoy; brother, Donald (Alice) Calabrese and many nieces, nephews and dear neighbors and friends.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Scripture Services at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Ed Littleman.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Northwest Ohio Hospice or to St. Clement Church.
A special thanks to everyone at Hospice, St. Clement, the Franciscan Care Center and Lake Park for the loving care and support they provided.
