Dolores L. Pierson

Dolores L. Pierson, age 86, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 14, 2014 at home surrounded by loving family. She was born on June 16, 1927 in Toledo. Dolores worked for the Lucas County Public Library for over 25 years in the accounting department. She was a longtime member of Memorial Lutheran Church, the Bayerischer Unterstützungs Verein, the Bavarian Sports Club, Library Retirees and the GAF Retirees. Dolores enjoyed bowling, crocheting, crafting angels with her daughter and gardening, especially her roses. She loved the time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pierson; daughter-in-law, Cindy Willinger; and grandson, Michael Willinger. Dolores is survived by her loving children, Joseph (Janice) Willinger, of Aliso Viejo, CA, Michael Willinger, of Toledo, Linda Clark, of Pyatt, AR, Sandra Willinger, of Toledo and John Willinger, of Toledo; grandchildren, Celeste (Michael), Shannon (Brandon), Andrew, Jeremy (Kari), Rodney, Lawrence, Tiffany, Marcus (Hannah), Alicia (Devon), Sabrika, Isaac, Melissa (Brock), Jessica, James, Melissa, Alison and Daniel; and great-grandchildren, Darby, Rosa, Ella, Amelie, Ashlynn, Kiley, Colin, Carter, Czarek, Ceazia, Saaren, Brody and Mia.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Lutheran Church, 3215 Douglas Rd., Toledo, with visitation one hour prior in church. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
