Dolores Gard

Dolores A. "Dee" Gard, age 71, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after being diagnosed with A.L.S. in November 2007. She was born on December 1, 1936, the daughter of Andrew and Sophie Dzienny. Dee was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. She was married to Loren "Skip" Gard for 45 years.

In addition to her husband, Skip, she is survived by her daughter, Shelly Ressler, of Avon, OH and son, Andy Gard, of Toledo; brother: Richard (Cathy) Dzienny; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Charles and Mary Marsh.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Richard O. Sauerlender.
