Dolores M. "Dee" Boring, age 63, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 22, 2021 at home. She was born on January 6, 1958 to Richard and Evelyn Zablocki in Hopewell, Virginia. Dee worked as a barber for over 25 years before retiring at Varsity Barbershop in Perrysburg. She was a longtime cheerleading advisor for the Reynolds Corners Redskins, and also assisting her husband Coach Boring for many years. Bob and Dee were both very active in the community, involved in school events, sporting teams and anything they could. She was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Fighting Irish. However Dee's passion was her family; she was an excellent cook, homemaker and loved taking care of them. Her children and especially grandchildren were the light of her life. Dee's smile, spirit and caring nature will be missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 43 years, Robert D. "Coach" Boring; brother, Benny Zablocki; brother-in-law, Charlie Bennett; niece, Krystal Bennett; and Shawn Zablocki. Left to cherish Dee's memory are her only son, Aaron; daughter, Amber and Ashley; grandchildren, Aakeana, Aaleeya, Sydney, Michael, Londyn; great-granddaughter, Meyah; sister, Mary Bennett; brothers, George, Cas, and Richard (Barbara) Zablocki; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. (For the safety of the Boring family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).
