Dianna "Minko" (Dodd) Henney, age 75, resident of Lima, Ohio, passed away peacefully, November 25, 2021. She was born on November 11, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Homer and Addie Belle (Fowler) Dodd.
A 1964 graduate of Whitney High School, she went on to further her education at The University of Toledo, receiving a degree in civil engineering. Dianna enjoyed planning and getting her classmates together for high school reunions. She worked as an Engineer for the City of Toledo for 33 years, where she was the first female sewer inspector in the city. Dianna enjoyed her Weight Watchers group and attending numerous dances throughout her life. She also enjoyed attending church, baking, especially cakes, sewing, crocheting, cats, and going out to eat. Dianna looked forward to playing bingo and "dance day", at the A.C.C.O.A, where they would listen to the Big Al Band. She loved spending time with her family; she liked to clean and take care of the home. Dianna will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Connie (Viola) Partee and special son-in-law, Brent Hutchison; John (Jodi) Viola, and Ronald Henney; grandchildren, Cory Viola, Shawnna Waschnig, Tommy Minkowski, and Conner Henney; great grandchildren, Jamal, Amiya, and Leo; and two sisters, Avis Miller and Debbi Dodd.
In addition to her parents, Dianna was preceded in death by her sisters, Agnes Shordt and Margaret McCafferty; and brother, Bobby Dodd.
Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, where her funeral will take place at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Jim Neighbors officiating.
