Diane J. Mueller, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 5, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, Diane dedicated her life to her family and home, embodying the virtues of love and devotion.
Throughout her years, Diane embraced the role of caregiver, looking after her husband, children, and grandchildren with boundless affection. She was the proud wife of Richard Mueller, with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage, married on May 18, 1963. Her legacy is carried on by her loving children, Cheryl (Dan) Henry, David (Sharon) Mueller, James Mueller, and Julie (Tyson) Phalen. Diane's warmth and nurturing spirit were evident in her treasured relationship with her grandchildren, Thomas (Mallory) Henry, Johnathon (Fiancée, Brooklyn Mendoza) Henry, Michael Henry, Jack Henry, Kaitlyn Mueller, Matthew Mueller, Samuel Mueller, Megan Phalen, Jacob Phalen and Emily Phalen and her brother, Robert Woods, who will hold cherished memories of their time together.
Diane was a member of the German American Society and GBU, where her community spirit shone brightly. In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, cheering for her favorite football teams, indulging in visits to the casino, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, activities that brought her joy and allowed her to connect with friends and family.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Jane Wojciechowski.
Her journey in life will be honored with services held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio. Visitation will take place on April 3, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a scripture service at 6:30 PM. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on April 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM, and a funeral mass will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Burial will follow at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made in Diane’s name to the church or to Food For The Poor.
Diane J. Mueller will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
