Diane Margaret (Swan, Rose) Koebnick, age 75, of Waterville, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with loving family by her side. She was born on April 17, 1949 three minutes before her twin brother, Donnie Swan. What a joy it was for her to be a twin. She is survived by her sons, Dennis E. (Carolyn) Rose, Jr., of Defiance, OH and John A. (Deanna) Rose, of Whitehouse, OH; grandchildren, Celina, Julian and Jesse Rose, all of Whitehouse, OH; Austin (Morgan) Keel, of Columbus, OH; and Alex Keel, of Defiance, OH; and 3 great-grandchildren, Otis, Mya, and Stella; two-nephews, Chris (Trina) and Troy Swan, of Gainesville, GA; along with several great-nieces, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews, of Gainesville, GA She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Swan; mother, Margaret Swan; and twin brother, Donald Swan.
Diane went to St. Francis de Sales grade school and graduated from Whitney High School. She worked for the Ursuline Sisters for ten years before moving to Michigan. Diane enjoyed her time greatly with the Ursuline’s. She moved to the Irish Hills in Michigan in 1998. While Diane lived there she worked several different jobs including real estate sales for four years. Diane moved back to Ohio in 2020.
Her favorite memories include her watching her sons, Denny and John play hockey through the years. Diane enjoyed spending time with Denny and John and their families at cookouts, holidays, or just hanging out. Over the past four years she considered it a blessing to get to know her cousins better and spending time with them.
Diane and her forever long-time friends spent time together shopping, going out to lunch, and hanging out making more memories to add to the special memories they shared through the years.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel – 3655 King Rd, Toledo, OH 43617 (419-392-9500) with Memorial Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
