Diane Kay Wenzel, age 65, of Toledo, Ohio passed away February 11, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 30, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Edward and Helen (Leffler) Henry. Diane was a homemaker most of her life with a few various part time jobs. She was a member of the East Toledo Junior Football League for twenty eight years in Toledo, Ohio. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. Diane loved playing the card game "Skip-Bo" with friends and family, especially with her special granddaughter, Baylee, the "Skip-Bo Queen" who always wins.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Bryan) Adams; son, Michael (Shari) Wenzel, II; grandchildren, Bryan Adams, Baylee Adams, Arik Wenzel, Alexys Wenzel; sisters, Delores Jackson and Evelyn Pawlinski; brothers, Fred Henry and Howard Henry; former husband, Michael Wenzel whom she married January 20, 1968, which lasted 38 years; god-son, Bosco; special friends Joyce and Robin (Ashley) and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her siblings, Sally Mehle, Janet Ballew, Homer Henry, Eddie Henry and Earl Henry.
The family will receive guests, Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
