Diana D. Miscannon
April 14, 1960 — February 6, 2019
Diana D. Miscannon, age 58, of Maumee, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She graduated from Bowsher High School in 1978 and was active in the Drama Club and Journalism and received her Associate Degree from Owens College.
Diana enjoyed her 10 years working at Maritz Research. She devoted most of her spare time volunteering at The Toledo Police Museum, and the Officer William Miscannon Scholarship Fund at Owens Community College in memory of Detective Keith Dressel.
She was an active member of The Concerns of Police Survivors Organization (C.O.P.S). Diana also took pleasure in attending The Victory Center. Her passion was making and donating sensory and baby items for pre-mature infants in hospitals and shelters and were distributed throughout OH.
Diane is survived by her step-father, Robert Hurst; sister, Brenda Rollins; step-sister, Kim (Dave) Mitchell; nieces, Lauren (Brady) Campbell and Kristi (Drew) Grogan; and nephew, Jared (Beth) Rollins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanette Hurst and William Miscannon, and brother, Kenneth Miscannon.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ft. Meig's Union Cemetery.
