Diana Michelle Haynes-Whitehead

Diana Michelle Haynes-Whitehead born December 12, 1964 the daughter of Dan Haynes Sr. and Marian Richardson, and was the 3rd of nine children. She was preceded in death by both parents, sister, Savada Haynes and brother, Jermaine Richardson.

Diana was a phenomenal mother, sister, wife and friend, who's jovial spirit and smile brighten any mood. Throughout her life, Diana had to overcome many obstacles to become the woman we all knew and loved, and she did so with that same infectious smile. She always found a way to turn a negative into a positive.

Diana graduated from Macomber Whitney in 1984, while also working as a nursing assistant in addition to raising her first child. She would go on to become a medical assistant while having two more children in the process. After earning the position of Office Manager, a title she held for 18 years, Diana elected to Further her education by attending Lourdes College and graduating magna cum laude in 2010, with a bachelors in Social Work. Throughout that time, Diana earned several different certificates and certifications for social work while working at the Toledo Hospital pediatric ER. In 2012 Diana graduated from the University of Toledo with a masters in Social Work. Diana would end her career at Lucas County Children Services as a supervisor.

Diana was involved with many clubs and organizations, including Mecca Court #73, Perry Burroughs Democratic Women's Club, and Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society.

In her spare time you could often find her fishing, dancing, traveling, or listening to Prince and all of her favorite music. But what she loved most was spending time with her family.

Diana will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Dr Markus Whitehead; sons, Joseph (Keyanna) Harper, Dwight (April) Jones, Dwight Bell Jr,; daughters Deatra (Tyson) Johnson, Dominque (Eldwin) Ottrix, Laura (Masakama) Cooper, Ashley Whitehead, Cenithia Addie; sisters Denise Haynes, Darla (Brian) Lawson, Shalonda Haynes, Rayven Bradley; Brothers Dan, Jr. ( Bernadine), Derek Haynes ,Jamal Haynes; one (adopted) son Julius Simmons; as well as four great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and special friend, David Rowlett.

Although physically gone, her energy remains. You will never be forgotten, and will forever be loved.
