Dian Kay (Hess) Kwiatkowski, 71, of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 19, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after valiantly fighting a two year battle with multiple myeloma. Dian was born to Roy and Bertha Hess on July 11, 1946 in Tecumseh, Michigan. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1964 and went on to receive her nursing degree from Flower Hospital in 1968. She married Jerome Kwiatkowski on April 25, 1970 and together they raised four daughters. Dian was able to stay at home for 15 years to be a loving homemaker for her family. She returned to nursing and worked for Hospice of Northwest Ohio for almost twenty years until her retirement.
Dian enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, quilting, cooking, baking, reading, volunteering, supporting her children and grandchildren at various events, and traveling with her husband, especially to Bed and Breakfasts. Nothing was more important to her than her faith and family.
Dian is survived by her loving husband of nearly 48 years, Jerome; daughters, Sara (Tim) Estrel, Beth (Joel) Kirkpatrick, Emily (Ryan) Brown and Allison (Andy) Caputo; grandchildren, Chris (Corinne), Aaron, Alex, Brittany, Dianna, Connor, Jacob, Evan, Mary Kate, Abby, Maddie, Zack, Carson, Isaac, Luke, and Alexa; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; and sister, Dona (Tom) Green, of Jackson, MI.
