Devon Charles Dewees

Devon Charles DeWees, age 47, of Toledo, passed away on April 29, 2017 in Toledo, OH after a brief illness. He was born in Toledo to Pete and Janet on December 13, 1969. Devon went to both St. Francis de Sales and Southview High Schools graduating in 1988. Devon was self-employed and enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Oakland Raiders fan.

Devon is survived by his loving parents, father, Pete (Diana) DeWees, of Toledo; mother, Janet Gilchrist, of Hamilton, Ontario; sister, Amy (Steve) Fitzpatrick, of Waterville, OH; nieces, Kaetie and Emilie; nephew, Brody; best friends, Brad Moores and Don Spychalski; along with numerous relatives from Florida to California and many other dear friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents who have welcomed him into Heaven.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at Noon at Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo. A luncheon following services will be held at another location.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to doctors, nurses, and attendants of the ICU at UTMC Hospital for their loving care and support during this difficult time.
