Dequan Allan Brown, Sr.

To the union of William Henry and Amanda Brown, Dequan Allan Brown was born on July 18th, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio

He attended Fulton Elementary School, and later graduated from Whitmer High School. Dequan then studied at the University of Toledo gaining a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.

After graduation he was employed by Ohio Link, then started work for Lucas County. Dequan worked in the Corrections Department, Work Release Program and ended in Pre-Trial Pre-Sentence as a PSI Writer of Adult Probation.

Dequan gave his life to the Lord and whole heartedly believed in not tainting your witness ... according to how others see Christ being exemplified through him. He believed showing and being the light of Christ in words, actions and daily lifestyle was important.

Dequaun married the love of his life, LaGresha Darshell Fizer on July 7th, 2007. This holy matrimony conceived Dequan Allan Brown, Jr. and William Henry Darnell Brown.

Dequan loved and was loved by his sister, Tisa Brown and nephews, Julian Brown and Wayland Vamarr Liddell, along with a host of loving family members, coworkers and special friends.

The family will receive guests Saturday, January 28th, 2023 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd. Toledo, Ohio 43617 (419-392-9500) with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 p.m.
