Dennis R. Prater

Dennis R. Prater, 56 of Toledo passed away Sunday, June 27, 2004 in his home. He was born January 8, 1948 to Thomas and Emma (Fitzpatrick) Prater in Toledo. Dennis was a subcontractor with AT&T for 20 years. Prior to this he worked with the Steel Workers Union Local #14. Dennis enjoyed watching Nascar and listening to Joe Cocker. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran serving as an M.P.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his step-father, James Ellison. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Prater and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dennis will also be missed by his Labrador Retriever, "Bo".

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Garrett Fitzpatrick. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
