Dennis Noward, age 75, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away on July 4th, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Larry. He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Deb, his brothers Mike (Ellen), Kevin (Lisa), 13 nieces and nephews, and 13 great nieces and nephews.
Dennis was raised in Waterville, Ohio and attended Waterville Elementary, Fallen Timbers Middle School, and graduated from Anthony Wayne High School. After high school, Dennis enlisted in the Navy to serve in the Vietnam War, boots on the ground. After the war, he moved to Colorado where his love of skiing began. After returning to Ohio he met his wife Deb at McCarthy's Bridge Cafe, where his first words to her were, "I'll have a Rolling Rock." He spent the bulk of his career at Toledo Engineering and Art Iron where he worked as a draftsman/steel detailer.
In their 43 years of marriage, Dennis and Deb enjoyed many trips to Mexico, skiing throughout the states, and spoiling their numerous dogs and cats. A special shout-out to Dennis' favorite Newfoundland, Boom. Dennis loved being the "Fun Unkle" to his nieces and nephews. He was affectionately called, "Rich Unkle Dennis." Dennis had a wide array of interests including bicycling with the Maumee Valley Wheelmen, where he was twice awarded Wheelman of the year. He participated in the Tour of Colorado bicycle event many times. He practiced Tai Chi, was an avid reader, enjoyed the theatre, and was a struggling violinist. He could often be found enjoying a strawberry margarita and chowing down on Mexican food. Dennis was also known for his love of comedic lounge wear.
To know Dennis was to love him. He was the king of going with the flow and an all-around great guy. When we think of Dennis we have a smile on our faces.
