Denise L. "Queenie" Kasza, age 52, of Toledo, passed away Friday, May 14th, 2010 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 30, 1957 to Thomas and Virginia (Thompson) Winhovan in Baltimore, Maryland. Denise owned and operated an appraisal company "Kasza Appraisal Service" for more than 20 years. Her love of historic architecture and design is what drew her into her career. Denise enjoyed the outdoors whether it was on an ATV or snowmobiling with her husband and friends on many trips to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. She grew up in Erie Michigan and attended Bedford and Erie Mason High Schools, graduating from Erie Mason Class of 1975. Denise was an auxiliary member of the F.O.E. and a member of the National Association of Realtors and St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Denise is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Mark D. Kasza; daughters, Danielle (Tracy) Roberty and Rebecca (Ivan) Estrada; mother-in-law, Vivian Kasza; grandchildren, Nicholas Roberty and Evangeline and Louis Estrada; siblings, Carrie, Thomas and Patrick Winhovan; Brenda Carson and Belinda (Ryan) Shepard; dear friends, Linda Kaczmarek and Cheri DeChene and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
At Denise's request there will be no visitation. A Mass of Resurrection will held at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of America or to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
