Denise Judith Fitch

Denise Fitch, age 56, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully at The Toledo Hospital on March 17, 2024. Born August 21, 1967, she grew up in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Whitmer High School.
Always ambitious, Denise had her first job as The Blade newspaper carrier at just 12 years old. After graduating from high school at 16, she set out into the professional workforce with various jobs from Colonial Bowling Bag Co. to Country Fresh Ice Cream Novelty Co. to Cub Foods, which is where she met her life partner. She loved the independence that being in the workforce at such an early age provided her. She especially loved her Pontiac Trans AM she was able to buy!
She eventually found her niche at Charter One Bank. She spent much of her career there until one day she discovered Menards, where she would spend the rest of her career.
Denise loved people. Because of her kind-hearted nature, she would go out of her way to help others. She was loved by all who knew her. Her smile and infectious laughter would brighten anyone's day.
In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom she loved dearly. She never missed a family gathering or birthday party, and her buffalo dip was always a family favorite. She enjoyed cooking and everyone had their favorite but hers was her fried chicken. She could sit on the couch and watch CSI, Law & Order, and Survivor for hours at a time. She also had a love for scratch offs and Pick 3.
Denise loved and adored her dogs Candy and Katie. When she wasn't pampering them, she was telling stories about them to anyone who would listen.
Denise is preceded in death by her beloved furry children, Candy and Katie. Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Gary Zukowski; parents Tom and Judy Fitch; brother, Brian (Ann) Fitch; sisters, Diane Herzig and Darlene (Mike) Falor; and her nephews and niece.
She is forever in our hearts.
