Delores Ferguson

Delores "Rose" Ferguson, age 75, of Toledo, born on her grandmother's farm in Maumee, Ohio, went to be with our Heavenly Father on May 18, 2014. After a long battle with cancer, Delores is now rejoicing at the table the Lord has prepared for her. Delores enjoyed gardening, canning, reading and serving the Lord through her church, where she was an active member for over 50 years. Delores loved her Mary Martha group at First Christian Church and was dedicated to helping those in need through her beloved rummage and bake sales. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed spending time with the ladies.

Delores is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jim; parents, Kenny and Hazel Strayer. She is survived by her five children, Jeanine (Tom) Molina, Becky (Dave) Lewis, Jim (Tammy) Ferguson, John Ferguson and Brian Ferguson. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Megan, Alex, Lindsay and Connor.

The family would like to thank Promedica Hospice for providing Delores with a comfortable and peaceful passing.

The family will receive guests on Friday, May 23, 2014 4-7:00 p.m. at First Christian Church of Sylvania, 5271 W. Alexis Rd., Sylvania, Ohio 43560. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the Service on Saturday.
