Debra S. Johnson

Debra S. "Debbie" (Guntsch) Johnson, age 65, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. She was born on July 23, 1956 to Marlon and Suzanne (Leonhardt) Guntsch in Toledo. Debbie graduated from Start High School. She worked for over 30 years at Tools Unlimited. Debbie liked playing Bingo and bowling. She often enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim to many places, but Myrtle Beach, Florida and Mexico to name a few. A family tradition that she and Jim continued to be a favorite was going to the Lake at Catawba since she was a little girl; something everyone always looked forward to. Debbie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish Debbie's memory are her loving husband of 37 years, Jim Johnson; sons, Jimmy (Ashleigh) Johnson, Adam (Freya) Johnson, Chad (Marcia) Johnson and Eric (Melissa) Johnson; grandchildren, Kate, Peyton, Jillian, Derrick, Cameron, Katie, Allie and one on the way; great-grandson, Maverick; brothers, Bill (Debbie) Guntsch, Don Guntsch, and Randy Guntsch.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
