Debra Hansen

Debra S. "Debbie" Hansen, age 54, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1956 to Donald and Edna Hansen in Toledo. Debbie was a graduate of the University of Toledo and was a licensed social worker in the State of Ohio. She served on several Ohio Boards for the handicapped appointed by the Governor and was especially proud of her work with the Barrier Free Organization.

In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her brother, James Hansen and niece, Julie Brazeau. Debbie is survived by her sisters, Patricia (Don) Stambaugh and Barbara (Robert) Mitchell; nieces and nephews, Jill (Ray) Collins, Laura Ward, Doug Stambaugh, Wendy (Ted Jr.) Fort and James Hansen, Jr. She is also survived by special friends, Laura and Mike McWilliams.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park at a later date.
