Debra L. Crots Gallagher, 66, of Petersburg, MI, passed away on February 14, 2024, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania.
Deb had a fulfilling career, working for the Secretary of State for many years and later as a dedicated school bus driver for Summerfield schools for two decades. She had a zest for life and loved spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, water skiing, or simply enjoying the ocean. Deb also had a passion for plaster crafts.
Her greatest joy came from creating cherished memories with her grandchildren. From riding the razor to having movie nights and going on camping trips, she always made sure to make every moment special. Deb had an infectious laugh and a smile that could brighten any room. She also enjoyed playing computer games late into the night and had a love for vacationing in waterfront destinations.
Deb is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Patrick J. Gallagher, her father Lynn E. Crots (Diane), her daughters Nicole M. Gallagher and Danielle J. Hawkins (Caleb), and her grandchildren Owen, Christian, Jade Ery, Maverick, Luke, Jace, and Lincoln Hawkins. She is also survived by her brother Randall Crots (Lisa), Brian Pirolli (Lucy), Chad Crots (Deanna), and Jason Crots (Megan), as well as many nieces and nephews. Deb is preceded in death by her mother Sandra J. McCormick and brother Denny Crots.
Deb will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her infectious smile, laughter, and loving hugs will forever be cherished.
A celebration of Deb's life will be held on February 24th at 6pm at the Whiteford Wesleyan Church, 10285 Sylvania-Petersburg Rd.
Ottawa Lake, MI. Friends and family are welcome to come and honor Debs life during this special gathering.
