Debra L. "Deb" Cook, age 61, of Indian Lake, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 22, 1956 to Ned and Erma (Linke) Mengel in Fremont, Ohio. Deb enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, camping with family; bowling and watching her husband Jim play in the band, Penny and the Loafers. She loved spending time with her family especially the grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Cook, October 2016; son, Ralph Behlmer; brother, Russ Mengel; and mother-in-law, Karen Cook. Deb is survived by her loving children, Rusty (Melissa) Behlmer, Casey (Heather) Behlmer, Michael (Alanna) Cook and Jamie (JT) Cook; grandchildren, Desree, Ralph, William, Eli, Chance, Deston, Elli, Logan, Liliana, Landon, Ahbrelle, Lilyanna and Lydea; great-grandsons, Aiden and Weston; twin brother, Dennis Mengel; sister, Linda (Tim) Redfox; father-in-law, James Cook; and many other in-laws, family and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Deb's life on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Talmadge Hall, 2437 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43613. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel assisted the family with professional services.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to memorial contributions are asked to consider the family, c/o Casey Behlmer or Michael Cook.
