Deborah "Debbie" Sue Lepper, age 54, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, July 06, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, after her brave battle with lung cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 23, 1959 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Bob and Jessie Newman. Debbie was employed by Hospice of Northwest Ohio as a compassionate caregiver for many years. She was also very active in the music ministry at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Maumee where she was a member. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 29 years, Gary; children, Brandi (Jason) Clark, Desira (Dana) Walker, Shaun (Leann) Lepper, Gary Lepper, Jr., and Wesley Lepper; Son-in-law, Michael Clark; 19 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; mother, Jessie Newman; brothers, Bobby (Marilee), Jimmy and Jeff (Anne) Newman; 8 nephews, a niece and the Maumee Bay Ladies.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The family will also receive guests Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the Debbie Lepper Emergency Medical Fund at any Huntington Bank.
