Deborah Jean (Thompson) Shiffler 63, born June 9, 1958 passed away Sept. 27, 2021 in her home peacefully after a long time illness, with her loving family at her side, under Ohio Living Hospice care.
Debbie graduated from The Toledo School of Practical Nursing with her sister, Pat in 1991 with her LPN. She worked in Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facilities through out NWO and southern Michigan, starting with The Lutheran Home of Toledo and finishing her career at Hospice of NWO. She loved what she did and brought a caring empathetic understanding of what each individual patient needed for over 30 years.
She loved to bowl and was on a Ma & Pa league with her husband Tim for many years. As well with her love for playing pool, which she played on various leagues through out the years, but mainly with The last Chance Saloon which is where she used her pool stick last on a league joined by her husband. Debbie was the rock of the family, standing tall and proud of what she did and how she did it! She loved to travel whenever she could get her husband to take time from work and when she was able they went where they could to see family, even as far as Germany to see family.
Those are just a few of the things she loved to do, but what she loved most was her family and taking care of them as much as she could! Debbie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parent's Marcia S. Behrendsen & John F. Thompson. Mother & Father-in-law Frank & Trudy Shiffler; Sister Lisa Georgeakopoulos, Brother Francis A. Thompson, Grandson Eric J. Estrada II.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 34 years Tim Shiffler.
