David James Zink passed peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2016, surrounded by family, after battling cancer. He was 63.
Dave was born on April 17, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio to James and Alice (Sarver) Zink. He married Patricia in 1978. He will be deeply missed by his five children, Abigail, Mallory (David) Reed, Scott, Rebecca (Daniel) Horowitz and Laura; his grandson, Elliot; his siblings, Vicky (Bill) Albring, Becky (Dave) Huey and Mark; his three special nieces; his partner in life, Connie Zoodsma; and his four legged friend, Bobby.
He was an incredibly talented master carpenter, comedian, lover of animals, Hawaiian shirt enthusiast, and a devoted father, brother, and friend.
His family is having a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. on April 17, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo OH (419-381-1900). Visitation will be held from 1-3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Toledo Area Humane Society in remembrance of Dave's lifelong love of animals.
