David Zeller, Sr.

David John Zeller, Sr., age 76, of Toledo, OH, passed away June 3, 2022. David was born June 24, 1945 in Toledo, OH, to John and Esther (Lacourse) Zeller. David attended Toledo Public School system graduating from Waite High School 1963. He was employed with the Lucas County Board of DD for more than 25 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. David was an officer of the VFW Post 2984 in Northwood. He was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, a long time season ticket holder of the Toledo Walleye. He had a love for fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports.

In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathleen (Rife) Zeller; brother, Robert G. Zeller. He is survived by his sons, David J. (Dawn) Zeller, Jr. and William R. (Shannon) Zeller; grandchildren, Macie M. Zeller, David J. Zeller, III, and William J. Zeller and Braden P. Zeller.

The family will receive guests June 17, 2022, from 12:00pm -1:00pm for prayers at VFW Post 2984 in Northwood, OH., 102 West Andrus Rd. Northwood, OH. 43619 (419-666-7762). Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery 9501 Jerusalem Rd Curtice, OH. Luncheon to follow at VFW Post 2984.
