David A. "Dave" Warner, age 78, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Toledo Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 30, 1944 to Paul and Betty Virginia (Diehn) Warner in Toledo. Dave enjoyed photography and taking pictures of nature and family. He had a green thumb, was a jack of all trades and could make anything. Dave invented the Sapjack; which was a sapling puller. He had a love of music and would often play the piano or guitar in his younger years. Dave was a devout Christian and enjoyed learning about other cultures and religions. He was a warm and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved spending time with them. Dave will be remembered as one who was always able to bring a smile and laughter to others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dalani Harris; and grandson, Jef Samuel Fields. Left to cherish Dave's memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Elisa Warner; children, Tammy, Angela, Laurianna, David II, Elisa, and Alan; step-son, Kenneth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Dean (Judi) Warner, Darrell (Mary Anne) Warner, and Dawn (Wayne) DeVol; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
