David P. Smiddy Sr., age 70, resident of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away on December 27, 2021, at Flower Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1951, in Jellico, Tennessee, to the late Paul and Pauline (Spradlin) Smiddy.
David graduated from Woodward High School, class of 1969. He was the owner and operator of Toledo Seamless Gutters for over 40 years. Having a love and passion for motorcycles, he enjoyed spending time with his brothers from the Iron Coffins, where he was an active member. He enjoyed woodworking, where he would make things for his family and friends, working on motorcycles, but most of all, David loved and cherished the time spent with his family. He will be truly be missed by all who knew him.
Those left to forever miss and cherish his memory are his loving children, Christine (Mark) Smiddy, David (Sheila) Jr. Smiddy, Kristin (Mike) Ward, Laura (Brian) Wotring, Steve (Stephanie) Smiddy, Bobbie Buehrle, and Mason Stevens; sisters, Paula Goad and Diane (Jim) Best; grandchildren, John David, Steven, Sam, Paige, Kenny, Justin, Cassandra, Joey, Ayden, Jackson, Cerese, Abigail, and Lillian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jack Goad.
Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617, on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 10:00 am. David will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park following the service.
