David Sam Razook, age 64, a longtime resident of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home. He was born April 24, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio to George and Helen (Hanjora) Razook. David was a Counselor with Midwest Recovery for several years. He began his journey as a counselor with Renewed Minds in 2020.
David grew up in Toledo, the youngest of four children. He attended Sylvania Southview High School where he played baseball. He graduated in 1978.
David was a kind and supportive person, always looking out for those in need of a helping hand, a friendly ear or a strong shoulder to lean on. He also dedicated time to the local Big Brothers organization for several years.
Some of David's treasured memories included spending time with his family and friends when his health allowed him to. He loved several types of ethnic foods, some of his favorite dishes were Syrian recipes. One of his favorite local restaurants was Eddy Lees, where he always looked forward to sharing a great meal and much laughter with his brother and sister-in-law. David also loved to pass time playing Baseball Darts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George S. and Helen (Hanjora) Razook. David is survived by his brother, George D. (Debbie) Razook of Sylvania, Ohio and sister, Denise (Stephen) Dreier of FT. Myers, Florida. Also left to cherish his memory are his loving nieces and nephews.
