David Raymond Precht

David "Speedy" R. Precht lost his battle with ALS February 18, 2023, after a long fight. Born in Toledo, Ohio on October 21, 1956, to Irvin and Lois (Sparks) Precht. Dave was a Graduate of Whitmer High School, Class of 1975. He worked for the City of Toledo Water Department, until his retirement.

Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters Cindy (David) Bishop and Diane McGhee and his extended family Gina (Andy) Wyatt and Garrick Gray. He also had 5 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces.

He loved his time camping at Big Sandy with his many friends. Dave also enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and a good cocktail. He was an avid bowler rolling numerous 300 games. Played and coached softball for many years. He was also a member of Outings Unlimited Inc, Sports Club, in Point Place. Speedy will be remembered by his outgoing personality and booming voice. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

The family would like to thank Gina, Andy, Pam Perkins, and Tom Tomaski for all the immense help during Speedy's ALS fight. They made his last days bearable.

Visitation will be March 2, 2023, from 2:00 to 8:00PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home-Northwest Chapel, 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623 (419-473-0300). A private burial will be held at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH
