David A. Parsons, age 65, of Toledo passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 18, 1946 in Maysville, Kentucky to Emerson and Lillian (Truesdell) Parsons. David and his family moved to Liberty Center in 1952 and he graduated from Liberty Center High School, class of 1964. He was employed as an Inspector for Chrysler for 35 years, retiring March 1, 2005. David was an avid music lover, whom enjoyed attending various concerts. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, golfing, photography, cooking, but most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. David was a free spirit who loved to travel and meet new people.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Korina (Adam) Parsons Scott and Zachary David Parsons; grandchildren, Emery and Parson Scott; step granddaughter, Madison Scott; mother, Lillian (Norman) Ameling; brothers, Larry (Candy), Jim (Louise) and Jerry (Isa) Parsons; nieces and nephews, Andy (Emilie) Parsons, Steven (Stephanie) Parsons, Erin (Tony) Vance and Ayla Parsons. In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his nephew, Paul Parsons.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
