David Paczkowski

David C. Paczkowski, age 66, of Toledo, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born September 7, 1942, to Charles and Gloria (LaMere) Paczkowski in Kenosha, Wisconsin. David was employed with Daimler Chrysler for 34 years, retiring in June of 2007. David was a veteran of both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force, serving his country proudly during the Vietnam era. He was an avid Nascar fan and Winston Cup driver. David was a former member of St. Anthony Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. He also served on the board of The March of Dimes. In addition to being a devoted husband and father, David was a proud grandfather cherishing the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren. David was someone who enjoyed life and met his challenges with a strong will and an open heart. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his kindness and welcoming smile. Because of his warm and inviting personality David considered no one a stranger. He was there for his family and friends during the happy and fun times as well as when times were difficult. David loved the holidays and all the excitement that went with them, especially the early Christmas shopping.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his Brother, Danny Paczkowski and granddaughters, Zara and Christina. He is survived by his loving wife with whom he would have celebrated 21 years of marriage in November, Patricia "Patty" Paczkowski; children, David "Davey" Paczkowski; Patricia Williams; Teresa Paczkowski; Kim (Joel) Dollarhite; Lisa (Matthew) Dominick; Douglas Werdehoff; Joanelle Werdehoff, and Keryn Ruiz; 18 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Maryan (Robert) Picolo and brother, Charles (Marion) Paczkowski.
