David H. Mitchell

David H. "Dave" Mitchell. Age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, January 13, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 16, 1936 to John and Mary (Anderson) Mitchell in Toledo. Dave owned and operated Mitchell's Upholstery for over 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed going to the horse races and playing the lottery. Dave loved spending time with his family especially all of his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him including his dog, Reese.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bonnie (Sader) Mitchell; sons, David (Dana) and Donald (Penny) Mitchell; grandchildren, Melissa (Donald) Scicere, Kathy (Colin) Brennan, Kris (Ashley) Mitchell, Ashley Mitchell and Austin (Brittany) Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Gigi, Ava, Mitchell, Layla, Maisen and Harper; many other family members and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Albert, James, Harry and Leonard.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
