David Lyle Fleischman

David Lyle Fleischman, age 67, of Toledo, Ohio passed away June 5, 2015 at Heartland of Perrysburg with his wife, Diana (Sadler) L. Fleischman, by side. He was born January 17, 1948 in Toledo to Wilbur and Miriam Fleischman. David graduated from Bowsher High School and worked for Chrysler Jeep and Toledo Machine for 30 years. He served in the Army Reserves, 983rd Infantry Battalion where he met his wife, Diana and married in 1980. David will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, generosity and deep faith in Christ which helped him to endure his suffering in his final months of life. Diana L. Fleischman was a constant companion with him and comforted him until his death.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his eldest brother, John. He is survived by his wife Diana, two older brothers, Dan and Terry and his younger sister, Candy Petersen. He also had four nephews John Jr, Scott, Matt and Adam; nieces, Heidi, Denise and Kristin; 5 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces; and brother-in-law, Gary (Judy) Sadler and their children, Thomas Sadler, Christopher Sadler and Sabrina Sadler and others.

The family will receive guests, Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday, June 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery, LaSalle, Michigan.
