David L. Longenecker

David L. "Dave" Longenecker, age 62, of Toledo passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born April 3, 1950 in Toledo and he was a 1968 graduate of Roy C. Start High School. He worked at Jim White Toyota as a parts manager, All-Phase Electric, Builders Square and most recently General Building Products as a locksmith for 14 years.

Dave loved his gadgets and tools and often times he had a tool for just about any job. He loved collecting anything in mass, from watches to Leatherman's. Dave enjoyed playing in his weekly euchre tournament, playing bingo, wearing his Big Dog t-shirts and spending time with his family. His family will remember him as a devoted husband and father. He had a wonderful personality and people truly enjoyed being around him. He was also loving and supportive to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mary; sister, Peggy and birth mother, Mildred Childers. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Pam (Faust) Longenecker; son, Brian; daughter, Melissa (Jason) Partin and in-laws, Harry (Linda) Faust; brother-in-law, Dan (Denise) Faust; nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
