David L. Hostetler

David L. Hostetler, age 71, of Holland, Ohio passed away September 7, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 9, 1942 in Canton, Ohio to Harold and Thelma (Swinderman) Hostetler. Dave was employed with Komatsu America for more than 35 years retiring in 2013. He enjoyed playing golf and attending University of Toledo athletics. Dave attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Maumee, Ohio where he was active in numerous ministries. Dave's greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Dave is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen S. (McClain) Hostetler; children, Darin (Jack) Lockert and David M. (Rachel) Hostetler; grandsons, Jacob and Kaeden Hostetler; brother, Timothy A. (Deb) Hostetler; sister-in-law, Adey Hostetler; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, H. Dennis Hostetler.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). The family will also receive guests Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 112 East Wayne Street, Maumee, Ohio. Interment will be held at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
