David J. Retzloff

David J. Retzloff, age 60, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born May 24, 1948 to John and Phoebe (Hohly) Retzloff in Toledo. David was a Bowsher High School graduate Class of 1968. He was proud to be a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam and was also a member of VFW #2984. David worked for L.O.F. for many years before he retired. His family will remember his as a man of few words, but with a big heart.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his loving wife of 16 years, Katheryn Retzloff. He is survived by his children, Dorothy Swiatecki; Benjamin Retzloff and Katina Retzloff Werner; grandchildren, Christina; Brooklyn; Rosemarie and Brett; siblings, Reed Kuppe; Richard Retzloff. David will be missed by his extended family and loved ones. He was a life long friend of many.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. A Fellowship luncheon will follow sevices.
