David G. Wilson, age 50 of Perrysburg Township, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, August 20th, 2009. He was born June 15th, 1959 to George and Patricia (Werrell) Wilson in Toledo. David graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School and went on to attend the University of Toledo. He was employed with the former S.E. Johnson Company for 20 years. After S.E. Johnson closed, David then went to work for Columbus Equipment for 3 years. He was an outdoorsman enjoying fishing. David was also an avid gun collector, refurbishing many of them himself. He really enjoyed working with his hands and knew all there was to know when it came to mechanical repairs. He was a quiet man with a big heart willing to give of his time and talents to help anyone who was in need of any repairs. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Edward Werrell, D.D.S. and his wife, Lucy Werrell and George & Lucille Wilson and aunt, Sandra Hotmer. David is survived by his loving family, including his parents, George and Patricia Wilson; sister, Karen (John) Gauthier; cousins, Paula and David Prediger; Douglas Hotmer and Pamela and Greg Grantham; uncle, Paul Hotmer and many cousins and extended family members.
The family will receive guests Tuesday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Olszewski. Interment will follow at Calvary cemetery.
