David E. Poitinger

David E. "Dave" Poitinger, age 83, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 1, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 7, 1931 to Franklin and Lucille (Robinson) Poitinger in Toledo. Dave was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed at Chessie Systems/CSX Railroad for 42 years before retiring. Dave was an avid golfer and loved woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Poitinger; brother, Bud Poitinger. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marian Poitinger; children, Jessica (Wayne) Hardy and Jeffrey (Suzan) Poitinger; grandchildren, Jessica and Yates Poitinger, Attalee Brix, Alexandra (Ryan) Schweda, Andrew Hardy and Aaron (April) Hardy; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Delbert (Marla) Poitinger; and many other dear family members and friends.

Funeral Services for Dave were private. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
